NetEase Shuts Down Studio Amid Search for New Partner
NetEase has announced the closure of one of its studios as it continues the search for a new partner. The studio’s debut project will not continue under its current form, but the game and its intellectual property remain open for acquisition or partnership discussions.
The closure comes after the studio, founded in 2023, was unable to find a new partner for its projects. Despite efforts to seek a new partner, a path forward has not yet materialized.
To support staff members affected by the shutdown, Bad Brain Game Studios released a sizzle reel showcasing the team’s work. This allows developers to present their contributions to prospective employers.
NetEase expressed its belief in the work created by the studio and hopes to see the world they have developed find its way to players soon.
